This album was recorded during the pandemic summer of 2020 in a Winnipeg basement. The sounds recorded are created through intense physicality and uncomfortable gestures that are illogical and impractical. This physicality is a key aspect of my sound and something that (I feel) is lacking in most electronic based noise music.
These recordings seek to truly embody a lo-fi aesthetic through the use of haggered gear like mediocre bluetooth speakers and broken contact microphones. By embracing imperfection Black Galaxie II looks to transcend preconceptions of the recording process, fidelity, and production technique.

All sounds were recorded live off the laundry room floor.
